Beyond that, It looks like the wiki is getting a dozen or more spam registrations *per day*. The captchca is apparently no longer sufficient... the spammer's bots know how to work mediawiki. ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk

I recently used the {{Delete}} template on a few pages and the next day they were gone. So somebody is working on that. I suspect some cases are easy and are handled quickly, others need some investigation or maybe links to those pages need to be removed first, and so they need some more time. But spam should be obvious and quickly dealt with. [OSM-talk] How to report spam/abuse on the wiki?
I noted a spam post to the wiki ( User:BrookMcIlvain ). How do I report that? I found a list of admins, but no real way to figure which one handles spam: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/System_Administrators -- I'm happy to add good clear instructions to the wiki... as soon as I learn what they are ;-) ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
