Re: [OSM-talk] Can Mapzen POI collected get some love?
2012/7/11 John Harvey j...@johnharveyphoto.com: still the best OSM editor for the iPhone - if anyone can recommend a better replacement, I'd love to hear it. There are other editors, e.g. OsmPad that is a special tool for housenumbers (and free), but doesn't do uploads (it sends you the edits as osm-file per email) and iLOE that doesn't get a lot of updates either, but allows for free text tags and also shows plain tags (something that always bothered me with mapzen is that it displays its own interpretation of the tags instead of key/value pairs). It also allows to change tags on ways. Unfortunately iLOE sets a stupid created_by tag. The cost for the app is 0,79 if I recall right. cheers, Martin ___ talk mailing list talk@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
Re: [OSM-talk] Can Mapzen POI collected get some love?
Hey everyone I was going to post this to the mailing list in a few days (once the update is released). I've made the app POI+http://itunes.apple.com/app/id518401562which is s simple node uploader for the iPhone. The current version has a bug that causes it to crash when viewing a node. An update has already been submitted to Apple and should be approved and released in the next few days. So hold off until the update when it'll have a bunch of optional tags and more to come On Thu, Jul 12, 2012 at 2:44 AM, Martin Koppenhoefer dieterdre...@gmail.com wrote: 2012/7/11 John Harvey j...@johnharveyphoto.com: still the best OSM editor for the iPhone - if anyone can recommend a better replacement, I'd love to hear it. Hi, Myself and Harry Wood have the code with a view of open sourcing Mapzen POI Collector and allowing the community to improve it. Unfortunately with my change of jobs and house move, I've not had any time to work on it. Hopefully that'll change shortly. From what I understand, Mapzen POI Collector is basically no longer supported by the Cloudmade guys and a change to how it authorizes against the OSM servers has broken it: http://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/9412/mapzen-unable-to-log-in Any chance someone more technically savvy than me can give this problem some love? I'd really like to get back to adding content using my iPhone. Thanks!
