Hi,

Thanks!

Re: [OSM-talk] Kort Game: Translators seeked!

2013-01-20 Thread Christian Quest
Yes, you have plenty of possible queries (select by bbox, type, level,
class, analysis, user), you can even report to osmose when an error is
fixed or if it is a false-positive.

Example:

http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/api/0.1/getBugs?level=1&b=48.8&t=48.9&l=2.3&r=2.4

Il will list level 1 errors near Paris center.

Then you can get details about an error, example:
http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/error/194388509

Osmose frontend code is on gitorious: https://gitorious.org/osmose/frontend

Osmose analysis are running mainly on France, but we're adding more and
more countries as we have resources (human and hardware).

We are collecting additional sources.
We for sure need more of them so that the game can go on...
But it's important that the errors are typified/classified as it's the
case with KeepRight.
Do you think Osmose API can offer that?

So your question is about how Kort Webapp handles these?
It's displaying bugs 4000 meters around you.
You mean that's too short and you see nothing?

Any plan to use data from osmose ? We have some API (undocumented except by
looking at the code)

Osmose provides fix hints, which may also be reused.

Is Kort currently only downloading KeepRight bugs for a certain region?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi,

Many thanks for the unbelievable effort to translate Kort.
The localization list at Transifex [1] shows 14 languages(1) which
have been fully or almost completed - within only two days!
I've never worked with Transifex before but now I can say that's easy.
So if your favorite language is missing, like Polish, Danish,
Hungarian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finish, Russian or Greek - just go for
it!

Stefan

Sentence structure varies considerably from language to language. Having words
or phrases in the wrong order may turn a sentence into gibberish, or in some
cases may form a grammatically-valid sentence, but with a different meaning
than intended.

Well, the idea is that you don't mix layout into the content at all.
Presuming a line break at a certain position might not make sense in
another language.

Not a problem of language file format, but your app framework.

Thanks for the hint.
How would you then for example insert a newline (CR+) LF?
Does there a language file format standard exist for that?

Just requested a Serbian team. (Btw, Janko, I hope you won't mind if I
reuse and transliterate parts of yours? Same goes for you of course.)

Stefan: I noticed some weird stuff like broken down sentences that are
probably to be concatenated dynamically. This is _very bad_ i18n design.
Just because it it might work for German or English, it won't work for most
other languages. Please write whole sentences in code with a substitution
argument, even it means some duplication. Same goes for plural forms etc.

I started a Croatian translation :)

I have one feature request. You should give people badges for giving us the
name of a street when there is no name.
