I like it, don't misunderstand, but I've been checking some buildings in Amsterdam, I used to live there. And almost all red buildings are constructed in 1005 according to that information. Now, I'm pretty sure that the number of houses in amsterdam reaching the age of 1009 years is quite low... I really do like the map, in fact I'm stealing some idea's from it as we speak, but it should be accurate, like this we don't know the right ones from the wrong. I'm going to check in depth later after earning my bread money for today ;-) Greetings, Glenn Kind regards, Pieter On 2014-01-09 08:44, Glenn Plas wrote: On 08-01-14 19:19, Pieter Colpaert wrote: Hi OSM-BE! There is still tons of the most basic work to do (maxspeeds, housenumbers, ). It would still be a massive undertaking as CRAB buildings do not map 1 on 1 on OSM data. It is cool, I aggree... but what is the real reason to want this I wonder? Should be easy enough to convert OSM data to shapefiles, either with GIS tools or through custom scripts. I'm in the middle of a move, but if I can find some time I'll give it some thought. Glenn, you say there is no 1:1 map between OSM and CRAB. I'm not familiar with the CRAB data, so could you share where the problem is, for instance with using house numbers as Pieter suggests? Maybe working on this project could lead to an improvement of the synchronization between CRAB and OSM data?
