My understanding is that there is an English version, but it was not picked up by CBC. I'll ask if it can be published. Or secretly, back-channel, definitely not-published. :-) ___ Talk-ca mailing list Talk-ca@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca

The video of the French news item on OSM was really well done although I could not understand a word of the Radio Canada reporter or the news anchor. It would be really great if we could get a link to an English version of this story. Dear Pierre, That's awesome! Thank you for the link. There were some shots of Steve Singer, mapping, as well as many Toronto regulars at Mappy Hour, right at the end of the spot. The next Toronto Mappy Hour is next Monday, 07 May 2012, where you can meet the famous Steve Singer, and perhaps purchase an autograph. :-) http://www.meetup.com/OpenStreetMap-Toronto/ French-speaking mappers: Please consider holding local Mappy Hours / Coffee Klatches / Meetups to help curious newcomers who were intrigued by the CBC spots. ___ Talk-ca mailing list Talk-ca@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca ___ Talk-ca mailing list Talk-ca@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca

Richard, this was a more completed interview with Steve Singer and John Robb (what a laugh) who both past a lot of their time on computers and with gps to find new information. To listen the audio, I copied the link, and used it directly into Vlc Media player. Pierre > > De : Richard Weait > >I wasn't able to get the audio.
