Perhaps expecting the development team to provide a fix is asking too
much??

Closing the Bat after a timeout

2005-03-16 Thread David Anderson
If I have had a problem with my POP3 server the session that was
running in theBat hangs.

If I then try to close the program I get a "Some tasks are now active"
warning message with "Do you want to exit when they are finished". The
three buttons "Yes No Abort" have no impact whatsoever.

How does one shut down without having to kill the application?

If this is a bug, how should I report it?

Duplicate headers in compose new mail

2005-03-12 Thread David Anderson
When I try to compose new mail (and also reply and forward) I have
dulicate headers (eg To: shows twice). If I use the dropdown on the
line I see two of every header.

Is it possible to get back to only one?

David

Reading Confirmation

2003-11-13 Thread David Anderson
Hi,

Is it possible to set up an address book entry so that an automatic
reading confirmation receipt is sent to that particular user? I have a
general reading confirmation set in account details, but there doesn't
seem to be anything to set for an individual recipient.

Hello Jamie,

It could be partly due to the fact that so many writers in the UK
computer magazines (PC Pro and PCW) say that it is the best.

Re[2]: Beta version features

2003-08-24 Thread David Anderson
Hello Greg,

It is not a matter of looking at Stefan's note - not everyone will
have seem it if they come in on beta3 for example, but sherr lack of
thought for the user. I could not conceive writing a program which
would DELETE a users mailboxes on IMAP without at least a warning.
Shows a lack of professionalism - or lack of concern for the users.

Be careful, one of the features of the beta version seems to be to
wipe out any IMAP mailboxes you might have (seemingly because v1.6x
didn't implement them properly. Just be very careful!!!

How does one go about getting on the beta list? I have heard nothing
