How to eliminate the TB start logo?

2004-01-05 Thread Costas Papadopoulos
How can I eliminate The Bat's start logo with Windows XP? The relevant
shortcut to start the program currently is: "C:\Program Files\The Bat!\thebat.exe"
/nologo
but it doesn't work.

I think the /nologo should be inside the "" shouldn't it? Such as:

  "C:\[..]\thebat.exe /nologo"

That's funny. This is exactly how I see the shortcut properties when I
right-click on the Start button and click on the "Open" item in the
menu. However, the TB logo still appears on starting the program.

For Windows XP it's C:\Documents and Settings\\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup. Probably the same for W2k too. If I recall
correctly, it's somewhere in the Windows directory for Windows 9x.

Me too.

I think that when you load virus scanner and/or anti-spam plugins, this
parameter does not work. It doesn't for me and I use the Kaspersky
Anti-Virus plugin.

I tried that, no success. Ithink it must be because I have set The Bat
as my default email client. The entry pointing to The Bat that I see
in the Start menu must be hidden from me and that's why I cannot edit
it. It's no problem. I'll soon install PowerPro and I'll be using that
program to launch The Bat as I used to do on my previous PC.

I don't see why that should matter. I'm using avg and bayesit plugins
and it works here.

It has never worked here. Maybe it's only the Kaspersky plug-in?

What is autostart folder?
Where is it?
