You are in threaded view. Hit alt-0 and you are in sequential view.
Click on the Received space at the top of the list, and it will toggle
between showing the new messages first or last.

The Unread tab is for showing the folders that contain unread
messages, not the new messages only.

How to make New mail messages on top

Hello ,

Let me explain.I will give an example.When i get new messages from the
bat list it gets mixed up with the messages i have already read.It
would be nice if the unread messages are shown on top of the read
messages so i do not have to browse for the new messages.

Alternatively when i click on the unread "tab" it still shows me all
the message read as well as unread.

Also if i were to choose "view" show only unread messages this solves
the problem only partially as i am now unable to easily access my read
messages now.

any help is appreciated
I am running 2.10.03
