[Texascavers] wing-suit guy checks for caves ?
The photo-link below shows wing-suit pioneer, Jeb Corliss, about to check out some cave entrances ( rock shelters ? ) in the side of a cliff: https://scontent-a-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/598632_613259112050379_395002478_n.jpg ( click on that photo to enlarge it ) If you freeze this video below at 3:50 and 4:11, you can see passing the potential cave entrances in the gap between the 2 large rock pinnacles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWyATL-G_xc#t=138 Somebody needs to send some drones up there to check those out. This is in eastern China, and the stunt took place a few days ago.
[Texascavers] underwater glacial cavern systems ?
Am I understanding correctly the recent annoucement by British researchers studying Antartica that there is an enormous system of underwater tunnels under the floating ice sheets of Antartica ? Or, Are they implying that there is an enormous layer of water such as a lake, and that in that lake there is a concretrated flow of water along a particular path, such as in a lake channel ? Either way, isn't it still a cavern ? Ref: http://www.sciencerecorder.com/news/massive-ice-channels-found-beneath-antarctic-ice-shelf/

Re: [Texascavers] Bob Cowell
Cannot say more emphatically - Bob was a good man. What our tentative hold on life does to us - is truly unjust. -DC On Sat, Oct 5, 2013 at 12:43 PM, Espeleo Coahuila wrote: > My condolences for the family of my friend Bod Cowell, he was a sweet > person with me all the time, and the last time I went in SA, he talk with > me for a few minutes.
