Topband: Japan report
Conditions today were very quiet here in Japan also. This evening I worked AA1K, N4VN, W1XX and N4XD. Jon's signal was stably received for nearly an hour. QSO with John W1XX is very difficult even in good winter DX season, and it is surprising that it can be worked at this time. 73, Aki JA5DQH akiton...@gmail.com On 2020/09/10 20:01, Jon Zaimes via Topband wrote: We have had regular VK and ZL openings through our summer, though generally with marginal conditions. Later than some years, earlier than others. We had heard Aki yesterday for our first JA heard this season. Conditions today were very quiet. KL7QOW also called in, and we worked JA1LZR at 1036z, just a few minutes before sunrise here. Last night we called CQ after our sunset and lit up a lot of RBN receivers in Europe, but G3ITH was the only one awake to call in. Andy, you were at noise level here in NC until about 0220 when your signal was 579! Mark Lunday, WD4ELG Greensboro, NC FM06be wd4...@arrl.net http://wd4elg.blogspot.com SKCC #16439 FISTS #17972 QRP ARCI #16497 _ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector
Re: Topband: 160m QSO W7RH/DL8LAS
When we worked you were right at the noise level but about 5 minutes later you had built to a solid 559. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I’m running a GAP Voyager without an RX antenna. Just enough to function on top band :-). 73, Bill WE5P Comfortably Numb > On Sep 10, 2020, at 01:17, Andree DL8LAS via Topband > wrote: > > Today I had the first west coast 160m QSO this season with W7RH.His signal > was incredible loud on my 220ft long BOG antenna.Another 15 NA stationscoming > also in my log this morning. > > https://clublog.org/livestream/DL8LAS > > > Here you can find the QSO with W7RH: > https://youtu.be/gipFa3tPqT0 > > 73 Andy DL8LAS > > > www.dl8las.com > www.swing-company-bigband.de/ > www.uni-big-band-kiel.de/ > _ > Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector _ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector
