** Description changed: Changing the sshd_config file to use the ed25519 host key exclusively - causes the server to reject all connections. + causes the server to reject all connections, even from localhost. Excerpt from my config file: #HostKey /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key #HostKey /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ecdsa_key HostKey /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ed25519_key I tried setting each one individually then restarting the sshd service and it only states that the connection has been reset when I use ed25519. I've tried connecting from localhost, another Ubuntu 16.04 computer with OpenSSH_7.5p1, and localhost on the other computer.
