Adam Not bad at all... You have a couple ideas that I am not sure if its ok to implement, like the different colored gnome-panels. Dark menus don't quite match I believe... [ubuntu-art] Breathe Icons BG colors
Hi! Regarding defining background colors for the new icon theme instead of an explicit palette: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/2008/09/06/define-icon-palette-via-background-colors/ Feedback, modifications and alternative proposals welcome ;) -- Thorsten Wilms thorwil's design for free software: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/ -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

If we can make some extension to nautilus or gtk itself to adjust the hue and the contrast of the icons at runtime depending on the prevailing bg color it would be very good. If we consider the fact that the gimp code can be used it should be really easy task to do. Another option would be to have several different icons that represent, for example, folder and named smth like this: folder_normal folder_dark folder_light folder_midtone folder_{color name or definition} and use them upon automatic detection of the icon's bg. Is this stuff possible? Anton -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

It's a very good theme imho and u should continue its development! With the different color panels i just wanted to test the colors, of course they wouldnt be different in a theme. The different color menus make it less boring without them, it looks like everything is the same color. What is the problem with them exactly? and i need some aid with metacity, i am having some troubles with fixing the bugs and polishing it. i attach the screenshot with both white panels so it doesnt confuse anybody: http://m.blog.hu/os/osline/image/metacitywp.png Thanks for your opinion!
