Re: Ubuntu MID (Mobile Internet Device) Remix - Does anyone know what happened?

2010-09-07 Thread Boden Matthews
Oh, the HTC Shift isn't a phone. It's a tablet. And it runs Windows Vista
Business and WinMo 6.0, and WinMo isn't removable. I was planning on running
Android-x86 on it, but I just wanted to check if anyone knew what happened to
the MID remix.

Didn't it get renamed to the netbook version? My ISP's mirror has a
netbook ISO along with all the others:
ftp://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/ubuntu-releases/10.04.1/ There's an ARM
version as well as an x86 version.

touchpad not working

2010-09-07 Thread James Takac
Hi Guys

I'm at work at the moment using an Acer Aspire 1410 netbook with Ubuntu
10.04. I just noticed the touchpad not working here but it does under win 7.
Currently am using a usb mouse. It used to work fine and I'm not sure when
exactly it stopped working as I tend to use the usb mouse for convenience.
Any ideas what I can look at in oder to try and restore its functionality?

Re: optus usage details

2010-09-07 Thread Karl Bowden
If your using firefox I'd recommend checkingout the Net Usage Item addon.
http://netusage.iau5.com/ I currently use it with Exetel, iiNet, and
internode.

 Hi Guys

Just wondering how do I go about reading my wireless internet usage from
ubuntu (10.04). I've tried in the past and got some message that it can
 only
be done from the parent page. And that's following the links at optuszoo.
 So
far I have to boot to windows when I want to check the usage.
