Tipically this part of testing is complete by Debian buildd(debian is
little bit primary package source). Can you point me to corresponding
documentation about how to manage package with launchpad ? Or describe
me what should I do.

Also I always test debian package to be compatible with ubuntu(since I'm
using both debian and ubuntu)

for ubuntu I tipically build (unsigned) package with 
debuild -b -us -uc

What kind of testing are you required ? Package is still compatible even
with 10.04(except it requires as depend early version of libtinyxml)
