[Bug 124610] Re: Totem Movie Player crashes when opening movie file
Btw. -i810 driver is deprecated since Gutsy and shouldn't be used anymore if the -intel driver works fine. Afaik LinearAlloc, VideoRam or CacheLine options aren't needed anymore. Btw. Xv can only be used by one app but all other started video applications switch automatically back to standard xorg video output at least for me. [Bug 196538] [NEW] Preferences - Default Printer is useless
Public bug reported: Running Hardy Alpha 5 Selecting a default printer under Preferences - Default Printer does not do anything. Going to Administration - Printing shows that no default printer has been set. Opening gedit and going to File - Print doesn't reflect a default printer being said either (PDF and PX-A620 show in the printer list and neither is selected). If there is supposed to be a difference between default printer in the two apps (Default Printer and Printing), then it needs to be made clear (for example: if Preferences - Default Printer only applies to the user, then it needs to say that. If Administration - Printing applies system wide, then it also needs to say that). If the default printer in Default Printer and Printing should be the same, then what is the purpose of Default Printer? [Bug 160796] Re: dpkg: error processing console-setup caused installer crash on Edgy (=Ubiquity 1.2.5)
I'm not familiar with nUbuntu, which you seem to be installing, and so it's difficult for me to support this. However, the problem here seems to be that console-setup isn't in the read-only file system on the live CD, and so ubiquity has to install it in a context where it isn't quite prepared to do so. In Hardy, this should be fixed because ubiquity will instead queue it for installation and install it when it actually is ready: ubiquity (1.7.7) hardy; urgency=low [...] [ Colin Watson ] * Prevent apt-install from installing packages directly unless install_extras has been run (previously, it would do so once apt was configured, which produced some confusing error messages). Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. OK, it seems to be a bug with MBP or something which is build in MBP (EFI?) because I have a MBP with nvidia graphics (nvidia 8600 GT in MBP rev3, you should have rev2) and the same issue like you. [Bug 196562] [NEW] 'fax send' command works but doesn't terminate
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: efax The command `fax send 0123456 foo.ps` usually doesn't terminate after successfully sending a fax and hanging up. (I verify that it has hung up by pressing the speaker button on the phone and getting a dial-tone. The faxes are going through.) [Bug 196568] [NEW] update to new 1.1.20 stable version
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dbus Updating dbus in hardy to the new 1.1.20 stable version would be nice since it fixes quite some issues. For the most part this license change is being pursued to simplify licensing issues and fix a couple of licensing corner cases. When this happens D-Bus will be released under the 1.2.0 version.
