Can you provide the output of ls -al /var/log/clamav/ please, so we can see the state of the log files, and which ones are larger (or not rotated). applied) for my nas and used my old smb.conf from gentoo, used it for
years in different setups and different distributions. What happens is
that i cannot connect from my windows7 machine. When i do: sudo
smbpasswd -a user it works for a while. But later i have to do it all
over again.

I was able to repeat this behavior with ADDRSPERNET set to 128. The system seems more prone to this behavior when a user makes requests for large numbers of VMs in a security group and then attempts to add more. We have been running many tests with the ROUNDROBIN scheduling policy. As a test I changed it to GREEDY a little over a week ago. The scheduling policy seems to work as expected except that occasionally when servicing large requests the cluster controller will request that a node run more VMs than available cores on a machine. We are using kvm. When making a large request (say 100 VMs) it seems that invariably one of the nodes used to run the machines will be over-subscribed. Our machines have 8 cores each and I often see 9 VMs and occasionally I've seen as many as 12. That would be the ideal world. If I ssh to the node controller, and look at

output, it doesn't seem like just a (resonable) caching issue.
Also note, that the get-console-output takes an extremely long amount of time
(minutes).

Step 2.4: To repro the bug: let SpamAssassin filter a mail and flag it (as per defaults). You'll see a header like: X-Spam-Status: No, score=2.431 required=5 tests=[DNS_FROM_OPENWHOIS=2.431] Once the fix is in place the DNS_FROM_OPENWHOIS rule (and all other open-whois.org rules) should be gone. Step 2.5: I don't see how a regression could inadvertently be affected. The open-whois.org service is dead, the domain has been taken by a squatter, and 100% of all SpamAssassin installs should have these rules removed. I hope the lack of a patch won't prevent this from getting backported. I'm as excited about 10.4 as anyone, but I won't be upgrading my email systems for several weeks or months. (The OpenLDAP upgrade is broken, due to cn=config and bugs like #364531, so moving from 8.04 to 10.4 for my email systems will be a huge investment of time.) I'm at a loss as to how to track this down further, given the inconsistency. Once the situation is detected, it needs to be noted Right, this is important especially in cases where segmentation has happened unintentionally. That is why I wanted mdadm to fail on conflicting changes without --force, not auto-sync and emit an event (email, beep, notification, whatever configured). so that further reboots will not decide to use the other disk. Pick one, and stick with it until the admin sorts things out. Bear in mind that mdadm --incremental is handling more than reboots, and segmenting the array can be intentional by the admin/user. Updating the metadata is needed to prevent further flip-flopping. (Between reboots I haven't seen too random/changing device reordering anyway. Mostly the enumeration seems to stay the same if nothing is rewired. I'd consider the hot-plugging order much more arbitrary, and even less worth of committing to the meta-data.) But would you see it as necessary to ensure a consistent uncorrupted array and closing this bug? I think it is enough if mdadm will only assemble the first part attached regularly. It may be good however if mdadm would assemble any conflicting parts as extra devices (normally md128 and up) so the parts are accessible for inspection, can be compared, manually merged etc. Updating the metadata would prevent working with and switching between concurrent versions in a hot-plugging manner. Think of the use-case of segmenting a (non-root fs) data-array into two halves in order to do some major refactoring.
