[Bug 591489] Re: QEMU_AUDIO_DRV set to none by libvirtd in Lucid
Changing to confirmed since the reporter has provided the requested information. I too am experiencing this bug. Looking at the libvirt source code, it specifies QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none whenever using VNC for graphics. The comments say this is because it tunnels audio over the VNC connection. /* QEMU implements a VNC extension for providing audio, so we * set the audio backend to none, to prevent it opening the * host OS audio devices since that causes security issues * and is non-sensical when using VNC. */ ADD_ENV_LIT(QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none); However, the VNC viewer that virt-manager uses apparently doesn't support the audio extension. That's why sound is broken. [Bug 477891] Re: keepassx don't copy the password into buffer by pressing Ctrl+C
I observed this problem (same as comment #3), but after a reboot it went away and stayed away for a while (weeks). I figured the explanation of comment #4 was probably why. I just noticed it has occurred. I re-enabled the PPA that had been disabled on my 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade, and upgraded to 0.4.3, but the problem is still there. It might get resolved by a reboot again, but if this is reoccurring, there's clearly something broken. Reinhard Tartler wrote: seems like an upstream issue to me I don't see any reports upstream. Seems more likely that there is a specific interaction with Ubuntu. If an OS reboot temporarily fixes the problem, but an application restart does not, chances are there is something in the Ubuntu/GNOME environment that is ceasing to work after a period of time. I see an old Debian bug that appears to describe the same symptoms and offers a patch: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=414171 I'm guessing this occurrence has a slightly different cause, otherwise it wouldn't work some of the time. [Bug 601536] [NEW] KDE 4.5 RC: Login Manager forgets user name
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdm I am using Kubuntu, and recently I have upgraded to the KDE 4.5 RC packages (http://www.kubuntu.org/node/157). Aside from the upgrade procedure being a total, albeit not luckily once-in-a-lifetime disaster, there are some bugs that can be reproduced easily. This is one of them. Before the update, kdm remembered the last successfully logged in user (me), and I only had to enter my password to log in. This is not the case anymore: I have to type in my user name as well. I am not ignorant to the existance of the new Convenience tab in the Login Manager page of System Settings; however, even though the Preselect User is set to Previous, the behavior remains the same (Actually, I think it had been already set to Previous when I checked it the first time.) [Bug 599255] Re: dmraid cannot use over 2TB raid0
The version of gparted in my ppa doesn't rely on kpartx like the repository version. It should leave dev names alone but the repository version seems to screw them up adding a p in sometimes. The next version of dmraid will leave the p in there, there is a discussion on this in this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/554582 In addition to this ubiquity (the installer) doesnt seem to be able to repartition dmraid drives at all. Its best to create the partitions using gparted and install without modifying the partition table. Back to the bug! The new output gives me exactly what I want to know! (finally) I've written a script which dumps the data at those locations and then compresses them. ** Attachment added: Scipt which dumps pdc metadata using dd http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51362495/dump-pdc-metadata.tar.gz -- dmraid cannot use over 2TB raid0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/599255 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
