[Bug 1691369] [NEW] Zesty update to 4.10.16 stable release
Public bug reported: SRU Justification Impact: The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or a minimally backported form of that patch. The 4.10.16 upstream stable patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu kernel as well. git://git.kernel.org/ TEST CASE: TBD The following patches from the 4.10.16 stable release shall be applied: ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Medium Assignee: Stefan Bader (smb) Status: In Progress ** Tags: kernel-stable-tracking-bug ** Tags added: kernel-stable-tracking-bug ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Zesty) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Zesty) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Zesty) Assignee: (unassigned) => Stefan Bader (smb) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1691369 Title: Zesty update to 4.10.16 stable release To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1691369/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1567417] Re: WARN_ON(!wm_changed) skl_update_other_pipe_wm+0x16c/0x180 [i915_bpo]
I have the same problem using precision 5510 + Dell dock, used to have perfectly working 3 monitors setup, which no longer works after the latest update (4.4.0-77-generic). I can no longer use 3 screen setup, 2 monitors setup is barely working and I often need to reset it after boot, reordering the screen is also impossible. [Bug 1691357] [NEW] User switch not possible, login screen black
Public bug reported: The bug presents itself the following way: It occurs with update to gdm3 3.24.1-0ubuntu0.1. Did not happen before, downgrade to gdm3 3.24.0-0ubuntu2 solves the problem. My session does auto-start. After the desktop is loaded I try to switch to another user. The screen goes black for some seconds and switches back to the primary user. No login screen or user chooser is visible. After trying that one time, also logout is not possible anymore. After logout I do not see the login greeter but a black screen instead.
