[Bug 1710318] Re: Please remove webkit1 rdepends removed from Debian Testing

2017-09-03 Thread Jeremy Bicha
** Description changed:

Several webkit1 reverse-dependencies have been removed from Debian
  Testing ('buster').

While I'd like to see them removed from unstable too (or ported away
from webkit1), that will take quite a while longer.

  Removed from testing

bibledit-gtk (note that the source package bibledit is ok and it ships the
same package names)
  cyclograph
- gnome-web-photo
  gnucash
  gphedit
  luakit
  monodevelop
  monodevelop-database
  thawab
- typecatcher
- xiphos
+ xiphos (fixed in new upstream unpackaged version?)
  xtrkcad
- webkitgtk-sharp3
  webkit-image
  zekr

Scheduled for autoremoval on or after September 11
  ===
  blam
- sparkleshare
+ sparkleshare (new unpackaged version depends on webkit2-sharp in Debian NEW
queue)
  webkitgtk-sharp3

Not scheduled for removal in Debian yet
  ===
  webkit-sharp

  Never in Debian
  ===
  lightdm-webkit-greeter
Mike Gabriel from Debian MATE has begun preparing web-greeter (the renamed
version of lightdm-webkit-greeter)

  Other Info
  ==
I think the most difficult one on this list for some people is gnucash.
Fedora 27 (due ~November) is actually bundling webkit1 inside the gnucash
packaging. There will be a beta version of gnucash ported to gtk3 available
later this year. Hard to say whether it's better to offer a beta or just remove
it entirely.

monodevelop may be useful to some people but I don't think Mono ever got
around to releasing a stable gtk3 version of Mono.

One more tricky one is boinc-manager. See
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/790222

Arch Linux has already completely removed webkit1.

IIRC, the override is using an invalid gsettings key (hence gsettings

It's exactly opposite to me.

There are two session

2) Ubuntu-on-wayland

Ubuntu boots into wayland (no .xauthority) and Ubuntu-on-wayland fails

So, no real clue here either.

Seen comment #24. Hard to open a new bug with so few information.

Perhaps the *real* bug is that code paths don't propagate errors with
enough details to allow proper tracing of what happends when things
fail?

My 2 cents. :-)

[Bug 226165] chiller than ever

2017-09-03 Thread bob010
Dear!

That products is so cool that I needed to share it with you, you
haven't seen anything like that before, simply take a look
http://www.galaxyday.ru/criminal.php?UE8yMjYxNjVAYnVncy5sYXVuY2hwYWQubmV0

Yours, Eduardo Jacobson

From: 226165 [mailto:226...@bugs.launchpad.net]

Subject: NOO

Your boyfriend wants his body to reflect on the outside what is on
the inside. If you're a straight guy, and you're not interested in
dating another guy, then nobody can fault you for wanting to break
up with your boyfriend. He had to have known that this was a
possibility when he came out to you as trans, even if you didn't fully
understand what that meant at the time.

You obviously care for him though, let him know that you'll be there
for him through all this as a friend, but that you can't continue in a
romantic and sexual relationship with him.

Also, you need to stop referring to him as a "girl" and "she." Your boyfriend
has expressed to you that he is trans, that he is actually male, and is
looking to go through the physical changes. You calling him a girl, and
using the female pronoun could very well be hurting him.

[Bug 1714866] [NEW] Update libproxy to 0.4.15

2017-09-03 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Public bug reported:

https://github.com/libproxy/libproxy/releases

Big change here is updating the dependency from mozjs185 (from Firefox
4!) to mozjs38. libproxy1-plugin-mozjs is in universe and has no Ubuntu
reverse dependencies (Debian Edu uses it for something though.)

I don't have any proxies so I haven't tested this beyond making sure it
builds.

[Bug 1701023] Re: (on trusty) version 1.9-3ubuntu10.4 regression blocking boot completion

2017-09-03 Thread Sven Mueller
Note: This behavior is in direct violation of the Debian documentation:
https://wiki.debian.org/NetworkConfiguration#Bringing_up_an_interface_without_an_IP_address
Specifies:
Note: If you create the VLAN interface only to put it into a bridge, there is
no need to define the VLAN interface manually. Just configure the bridge, and
the VLAN interface will be created automatically when creating the bridge (see
below).

[Bug 1714855] [NEW] Stucked in Airplane mode after suspend

2017-09-03 Thread Shu Hung (Koala)
Public bug reported:

I have updated to the latest version (as of 2017/9/4) of all my package
in my Artful.

Hardware Platform:

HP Spectre X360 (2015)

Software Version:

1.8.2-1ubuntu5

Steps to Reproduce on my Laptop:

1. Login to my account.
2. Connect to the wireless network as usual.
3. Suspend the machine by closing the lit.
4. Open up the lit and login again.

Expected:

The machine works normally.

Actually got:

The machine stucked at Airplane mode. I can neither disable the airplane mode
by the top right menu nor by the network settings UI. The airplane mode stays
on every time after I switch it off. I have to reboot to resume the network.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1714862] [NEW] Update vala to 0.38

2017-09-03 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Public bug reported:

This is a tracking bug.

We didn't update vala to 0.38 before Ubuntu 17.10 Feature Freeze because
2 of the 3 required rebuilds failed to build against the new version.
We'll try to land vala 0.38 early for Ubuntu 18.04 instead.

Re: [Bug 1714497] Re: FreezeException: Include GNU PSPP 1.0.1 in artful

2017-09-03 Thread Friedrich-beckmann
Hi,

pspp 0.10.2 fails to compile with gcc7.

pspp 1.0.1 will compile with gcc7. (Updated gnulib version).

pspp only has libgsl-dev as a dependency. This now results in a
depency of libgsl23 and this works on debian.

See: https://buildd.debian.org/status/logs.php?pkg=pspp=amd64

The failed build 0.10.2-2+b1 changed the environment to libgsl23 and
to gcc7. But the problem was gcc7.

Regards

Friedrich

[Bug 1714821] Re: FFe: Sync gnome-user-share 3.18.3-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2017-09-03 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Well I guess the recommended package is not a fully functional Apache so
maybe Step 1.c. isn't that important and we can consider Step 2 for
artful.

[Bug 1387129] Re: xpdf does not read config file

2017-09-03 Thread Shaggy Blues
Might be related to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=737628
It seems xpdf was since patched, one year ago (that's what the link above
says), but the version I have on Ubuntu 16 (up to date) still has the bug.
Would it be possible to apply their patch?

[Bug 1714826] [NEW] HiDPI scaling regression on Beta 1

2017-09-03 Thread tylnesh
Public bug reported:

After running today's updates, HiDPI scaling on my 4k 15,6" display
stopped working. Ubuntu dock keeps correct scaling, but top bar, context
menu, and other UI elements revert back to non-scaled dimensions. I can
fix most of the UI with

$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface scaling-factor 2

but after reboot or logout it reverts back to wrong setting. I solved
the topbar scaling by changing the size of the panel by one pixel
(increase or decrease, doesn't matter. Perplexing, indeed), but can't
find a way to fix context menu scaling.

[Bug 1714820] Re: Muon refuses to elevate to superuser for package install

2017-09-03 Thread Clive Johnston
I can't replicate this on my system and can only assume that the
authentication window is not being displayed or becoming focused to the
front of the active windows.

I have sub'ed the maintainer of the program to this report, maybe he
will know what could be causing it to do that.

[Bug 1714820] Re: Muon refuses to elevate to superuser for package install

2017-09-03 Thread Rik Mills
This works fine in the daily build for me and my running install of
artful.

The message will be displayed if you do not complete an authorisation
dialogue when it is show, and it times out. Perhaps you have a window
manger rule/placement setting etc, so the authorisation box was there,
but you did not see it (obscured/elsewhere etc)?
