Hi, as I cannot help with coding (on this specific issue), I've opened a
  bounty on FreedomSponsors:

  http://www.freedomsponsors.org/core/issue/319/support-for-digital-signatures

Anyone interested on this bug is welcome to pledge more money by visiting
the above link, this money will probably not be enough for the needed work
time, but I see it as a nice reward in exchange for the great contribution
  that completing this bug is.

 Greate initiative Nelson!

I also put in some coins on this one.

 Cheers,
 Markus

Really great initiative! Added 65USD.
Would be great for free software to have this, and not have to depend on
acroread for digital signature verification.

Cheers,
Tomas

[Bug 1074260]

2012-11-18 Thread 2o6p-tomas-8c8g
It does seem that a beta from Thunderbird 17 (from ubuntu mozillateam)
fixes the issue for me. The fix does not seem to be in Thunderbird-trunk
yet, I hope it gets there...

I re-downloaded all my email from zarafa-IMAP with thunderbird 17 beta
from mozillateam and after many hours of waiting, and downloading some
messages twice, it now seem stable and calm.

Thanks! I can now use thunderbird again. It was depressing not being
able to use it for a couple of weeks.

[Bug 1074260]

2012-11-17 Thread 2o6p-tomas-8c8g
I have tested thunderbird trunk now with two different Imap server.

Thunderbird against Dovecot works as expected, emails are downloaded to
local Imap folders and everything is fine.

Thunderbird against Zarafa downloads emails but when finished the local
Imap folders are reset to a very small size, so emails are not kept.
This causes thunderbird to download over and over again.

I have started completely fresh with thunderbird trunk.

Anything I can to help debugging?

I.e. this issue is not fixed...
I have also reported this issue in Zarafa forum,
https://forums.zarafa.com/showthread.php?8211-A-few-users-with-IMAP-performance-issues-via-Thunderbird.
