I've tried 8.04alpha4 these days.It works, although not very well. rzerrou and jeeks might want to try. 2008/2/25, rzerrou <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > i have the same problems with this machine like discribed above i hope > some one can figure out the cause of this problem > > > -- > cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530,display:Mobile Intel Graphic > Media Accelerator X3100) > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148477 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > -- cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530,display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148477] Re: cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530, display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100)
I tried the final release of 710(alternate),it stopped when preparing ubuntu-docs.I tried another time,it seemed cannot load the installation program. I give up,maybe the hardware is too special. But I will expect the 8.04 version, hope the problem disappears magically. -- cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530,display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148477] Re: cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530, display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100)
Thanks for your reply.I tried 7.10-rc-alternate today, the first problem was solved, but the second was still a big problem for me. After installation finished and reboot, the system took a long time when loading manual drivers, and the stop when checking file systems I wrote down the output to a paper,it is ass bellow: Loading kernel modules... Loading manual drivers... [OK] //took a long time, around 10 minutes Activating swap[OK] Checking root file system... fsck 1.40.2 (12-Jul-2007) /dev/sda8:clean, ... //took a very long time, around 20 to 30 minutes [OK] *checking file systems fsck 1.40.2 (12-Jul-2007) //2 hours past,it was still here UBUNTU is the best OS I 've seen for pc,it works very well in my old hp- compaq v3118 laptop,so I hope the new version can drive my new laptop well. -- cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530,display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148477 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148477] cannot install 7.10beta(cpu:Intel celeron 530, display:Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100)
Public bug reported: I got a new laptop and I tried to install ubuntu 7.10beta,but I cannot boot the live-cd-system.I tried several times, once I saw the background of the system, but it stopped there. Then I tried the alternate install CD,while installing the screen became blocks of colors, but it was installing,I saw the blocks jumping. Finally the install finished(i guess so,because I cannot see the words),restarted my pc.It was still a very long time(around a hour),but I cannot see the xwindows and gnome, the screen was black. I tried opensuse yesterday,it works well. I don't know what's wrong with my laptop,it is acer 6252(http://www.acer.com.cn/product/spec/index.asp?id=237). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - I got a new notebook and I tried to install ubuntu 7.10beta,but I cannot boot the live-cd-system.I tried several times, once I saw the background of the system, but it stopped there. + I got a new laptop and I tried to install ubuntu 7.10beta,but I cannot boot the live-cd-system.I tried several times, once I saw the background of the system, but it stopped there.
