package gnome-power-manager 2.22.1-1ubuntu4.1 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139.

Initial error: after last update get the following error at start: Install 
Problem!  The configuration defaults for GNOME Power Manager have not been 
installed correctly.  PLease contact your computer administrator
Tried the following per questions 45767 and 38 900 on 
https://lounchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+question/:
sudo touch /forcefsck = reboot
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get --fix-missing install
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo-apt get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove = reboot

then from synaptic package manager:
re-install 'gnome-power-manager'
the following error returned:
