The file /etc/alternatives/my.cnf exists. It is referenced via symlink /etc/mysql/my.cnf. It may or may not be a bug. It was automatically picked by the ubuntu bug report application. Attached is the content of my.cnf file. On Wed, Jan 24, 2018 at 10:37 PM, Joshua Powers wrote: > Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. > > Does the file /etc/alternatives/my.cnf exist? Hi Joseph, The mouse flickering is not a consistent issue and after reboot has not appeared. However, I have just installed the kernel: linux-image-3.12.0-031200rc1-generic_3.12.0-031200rc1.201309161735_amd64.deb<http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.12-rc1-saucy/linux-image-3.12.0-031200rc1-generic_3.12.0-031200rc1.201309161735_amd64.deb>. I will update if any issue persists after restart in next few days. I am facing one more issue. Since few months, I have not been receiving any updates from Ubuntu except for Google chrome for which a separate repository exists. Is this normal or should I change any configuration. Thanks. Re: [Bug 1207701] Re: [ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. K55VM] /resume failure
Hi Cristopher, I downloaded the Bios Update. But I was not able to install it. If possible, do let me know how I would be able to update the Bios. Thanks. Re: [Bug 1148666] Re: package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.29-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
I tried for some time this morning. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled mysql which worked fine for me :) I will consider these options next time.Thanks. I also did an apt-get clean which gave more space to my drive before reinstall. Public bug reported: Maybe the space in Ubuntu drive would be less that may have caused the bug. I did a apt-get clean which cleaned and gave me upto 400 MB space but package mysql-server-5.5 would not reinstall even after doing apt-get install -f . Please check.
