[Bug 1613184] Re: method mirror broken at 1.3

2017-04-23 Thread Bortnyák Roland
@ivan1986 I've tried on 17.04 (Zesty), but it didn't work:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install apt-src
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list # enable deb-src lines
sudo apt-src update
sudo apt-src install apt-transport-https apt-utils libapt-inst2.0 libapt-pkg5.0
sudo apt-src build apt apt-transport-https apt-utils libapt-inst2.0
libapt-pkg5.0

How did you fix it?

[Bug 1451130] [NEW] 03:00.0 USB controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VL80x xHCI USB 3.0 Controller (rev 03) will cause freeze while booting, or during runtime on USB 3 device connecting

2015-05-02 Thread Bortnyák Roland
Public bug reported:

I have the following 4 port USB 3 PCI-e bus/controller device:
03:00.0 USB controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VL80x xHCI USB 3.0 Controller
(rev 03)

If I connect my LUKS encrypted WD 1 TB external HDD device, using an USB
3 cable, it will freeze the computer, or won't boot, if it was plugged
in.

If I don't plug anything to that USB 3 bus, it will not make any
trouble, so the PCI-e card itself is not a problematic, what's more, it
is working exactly the same setup for Windows 7. Furthermore, other USB
2 Linux laptop can use it without problems.

On boot time, it writes something like write cache is missing. Should
I add something to /etc/fstab, or how can this be solved?

Thank you,

[Bug 1451123] [NEW] Fingerprint is being read just once during a fingerprint-gui session

2015-05-02 Thread Bortnyák Roland
Public bug reported:

Hello! I have this Fingerprint reader device (according to the provided list,
it is supported):
`Bus 004 Device 003: ID 08ff:5731 AuthenTec, Inc. AES3500 TruePrint Sensor`

Unfortunately, it is not usable, neither on Windows or Linux, since on
Linux it will stop reading the any finger after the first try. I've
attached a screenshot, and an ltrace log, truncated at the beginning:
http://paste2.org/PbOD2y6a . Do you need also gdb to find out the exact
problem?

I've tried with several versions of Ubuntu: {10,12,14}.04 LTS, 15.04 -
all will fail not read just once, it may be a driver error or a endless
loop/deadlock.

Please fix this issue, I have 2pcs of this item, bought on eBay earlier
(2-3 years), looks like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/APC-BIOMETRIC-
PASSWORD-MANAGER-Fingerprint-reader-USB-/01262681 (there is
http://www.acroprint.com shown there, it is not APC as I think).

[Bug 1310490] [NEW] indicator-messages is hidden on 14.04 LTS

2014-04-21 Thread Bortnyák Roland
Public bug reported:

I've recently upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS to 14.04 LTS. I've
noticed, that the mail icon is hidden. I've reinstalled the package:
`sudo apt-get install --reinstall indicator-messages` - it was
successful, but didn't change anything. Tried to install thunderbird,
but nothing changed.

If I want to run it manually ($ indicator-messages or with Alt+F2) the
command not found...

I know, that it is hidden, because I'm using GMail Notifier, which
displays itself, and it works.

Package info:
indicator-messages:
  Installed: 13.10.1+14.04.20140410-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 13.10.1+14.04.20140410-0ubuntu1

500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages

Please fix this issue!

2014-04-21 Thread Bortnyák Roland
$ gsettings get com.canonical.indicator.messages applications
@as []

It's empty. But the GMail Notifier notifies me on new e-mails. How can I
add it? (This issue is reproduced more of my machines...)

[Bug 1029670] Re: *** glibc detected *** ./src/simple-scan: double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x00007f4f5c06dc90 ***

2013-08-28 Thread Bortnyák Roland
I'm surprised too, when I saw the date of the original bugreport. But I
can easily reproduce this issue on the latest LTS. Whichever version
I've tried, it will crash after a cancelled scan. I can't even use that
button.

Please, if someone can, fix this issuse! Thanks!

I still can confirm that issue, with the lastest versions. (Like sni-qt:

published?

[Bug 835920] [NEW] CheckGmail with 2-step verification doen't work

2011-08-28 Thread Bortnyák Roland
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
Affects all versions, but I'm using now CheckGmail v1.14pre2-svn.

I expect to CheckGmail logs in while I'm using 2-step verification. 2
ways are possible: prompt for verfication code; or request an app
specific password. The problem is that: CheckGmail requests login on the
official HTTP Google Auth site, what can't accept the app specific pass,
and CheckGmail can't prompt for verification code. So, it will report
401 Unathorized after the download attempt.

I think, who knows this Perl language, and have some minute, it can
write a patch to CheckGmail prompt for that verification code.

Also releated bugreport:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=3193560group_id=137480atid=738663

Thanks!

Sorry, I had to make a new bugreport, this one is invalid(and mark as
duplicate). CheckGmail logs in the official Google Auth site, so it
won't accept any app specific password. It must prompt for the
verification code...
