Re: [Bug 1239578] Re: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b]
Hi, Le 11/12/2014 23:06, K Xu a écrit : I am using a version of this driver I got from Larry Finger, but it seems to be buggy as my internet often drops. I am using it on a T440s on Ubuntu 12.04. Should I update to Trusty, expecting to help solve this issue? I have used Ubuntu 14.04 without success, because the driver wasn't integrated in it kernel version (3.14). I am now on Ubuntu 14.10 since october (today with the last main kernel, 3.16.0-28). I am able to see the wifi networks, so better than with 14.04, but steel unable to connect. I don't know if this Ubuntu kernel integrates the last revision of RTL 8192EE driver. [Bug 1239578] Re: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b]
Just FYI For testing, I have upgraded my Lenovo T440s under Ubuntu 14.10 beta 2 one week ago. The native kernel is 3.16 (today 3.16.0-21). Since the upgrade, WiFi networks are seen. But it's fully impossible to connect to anyone, even if it's a fully open network, ie without authentication protocol or dialog. And sometime, the system freezes when RTL8192ee device is on, and never when off. Now, I expect the release candidate (october 16), then the official release (october 23). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239578 Title: No wireless support for Realtek RTL8192EE [10ec:818b] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1239578/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1275794] Re: Lenovo T440s freezes when connected to docking station
I confirm this behaviour: with the dock firmware update (T440s in a ProDock for me), I can use external displays. I can have two external displays (two 1680x1050), one on HDMI port, an another on VGA port. In normal mode, the two external displays are mirrored. But I can put them in extended desktop mode and have something like one 3360x1050 display. I'd preffer have two distinct displays, because today it's difficult to manage the windows size of the graphic applications (in particular, the automatic resize facility when you push the window to the bottom/top/left/right on in the corner). So, I expect an evolution. Nevertheless, the good news is that I can use 3 displays in the same time: the internal one and the two externals. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1275794 Title: Lenovo T440s freezes when connected to docking station To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1275794/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 888002] Re: VLC prevents Ubuntu from turning off screen in idle state
Thanks! Is VLC playing when this happens? If yes it's intended behaviour, VLC prevents the computer from going to sleep. [Bug 51400] Re: Can't edit partitions without adding and removing
Please, be more explicit. I just tested gparted (on my system, not on the livecd) and I have a submenu 'Format to' to change the filesystem type, which obviously needs to destroy the partition. What you mean is the partition type, the byte which is just an info for partition managers ? Or the filesystem type which is on the partition ? -- Can't edit partitions without adding and removing https://launchpad.net/bugs/51400 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 51401] Re: Bad to memorize program name
I think this is the problem of the upstream author, and since his name sounds like asiatic, i don't think it's hard to remember for him :o) ** Changed in: kazehakase (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Rejected -- Bad to memorize program name https://launchpad.net/bugs/51401 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 51410] Re: udev problem with usb stick
try to remove the fstab line, udev is only used to update /dev entries when a device is plugged in/out i don't know the auto mount tool in Kubuntu, but it must use HAL just as Ubuntu's one -- udev problem with usb stick https://launchpad.net/bugs/51410 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 51411] Re: Installer Crash Report
This is interesting : ubiquity: ['/usr/share/grub-installer/grub-installer', '/target'] exited with code 10 But I also noticed some cd-rom read errors in your logs, did you try to rewrite the iso to a CD-R ?
