[Bug 423940] Re: Vsync not working with nvidia & dual monitors

2009-09-03 Thread ChrT
For the record, this is a dual monitor issue and not a compiz/driver
issue. After disabling one of the monitors, vsync works fine on the
other one.

[Bug 423940] [NEW] Vsync not working with nvidia & dual monitors

2009-09-03 Thread ChrT
Public bug reported:

Using a twinview setup, vsync will not work on one of the monitors - the
same one, regardless of which one the display is set to sync to. Both
monitors have the same refresh rate - 60 Hz - and the same vertical
resolution.

Using the restricted 185 drivers, installed from the "hardware drivers"
screen. Sync to vblank turned on in both nvidia-settings and
compizconfig settings manager. The vsync problem also occurs if compiz
is disabled entirely.

This happened on a fresh install of Karmic alpha 5.

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
