[Bug 1036794] Re: unmet dependencies during update of nspr4: libnspr4 : Breaks: evolution-plugins (< 3.2.0-0ubuntu2) but 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 is to be installed
I was not able to excute the steps in the documention. It was probably because I did not undersatnd them well enough. While I'm a Linux user, I'm not all the knowledgable about admin tasks. It's a credit to the distribution that I have been able to use the system with very few issues for a numbers of years without having to know all that much about admin. In any case I did get through the update and I waited for another update to occur to be sure that issue was fixed and yes, all is well. My feedback... In cases like this a litltle more detail in the directions would be helpful for less expert users. If the specific example had been used in addition to the general directions, I think it would have solved my issue and maybe that for a few others, too. I was very impressed by the response to the issue. Thank you!! [Bug 1036801] [NEW] 'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.'
Public bug reported: The notificaiton icon on the bar showed up after the reboot from the last update I did. I provides a suggested next action, but that did nothing. Running Update Manger fails with a 'Could not calculate the upgrade' pop up. The directions are to report the but with the error message that is the Summary. 12.04 LTS ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1036801 Title: 'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.' RE: [Bug 484542] Re: mail header display has incorrect time in the datefield
Thank you for your response. Since some mail clients report the time correctly, I thought that it was likely an issue with those that didn't. Based on your input, I looked at the rfc and the control system is clearly the culprit. Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction. I believe that the date line in your E-Mail violates RFC 2822. Where you have UT, there should be a time zone offset. Thunderbird/Evolution assumes the date is UT or Universal Time which explains why you're seeing the time -7 hr since MST is UTC -0700. I suggest repairing the control system. Please report any other bugs you may find. ** Changed in: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- mail header display has incorrect time in the date field https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484542 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug.
