Whilst running evolution the send/receive function will update inbox and other mail folders, but doesn't seem to want to update the calendar, even after switching between the mail & calendar windows. However if I exit evolution and re-open it, it does then update the calendar. I've had some random circumstances where it would in fact update the calendar of its own accord but I've not been able to reproduce these circumstances reliably. [Bug 94615] Re: Firefox launched from alt-f2 doesn't apply all gtk2-qt-engine settings
This happens in all gtk applications, if you use beryl and you open beryl-manager from alt+f2 you will have the same issue.
