Hi! Same problem here, with Ubuntu 10.04. My signal is strong (98 ~ 100%), however in about 8 meter the connection is lost and is totally impossible to connect again. I try unsucessfully many versions of Windows Drivers to RTL8187B with ndiswrapper.
