[Bug 755461] [NEW] After pause and play again , it plays only few seconds, then stops

2011-04-09 Thread Francesco Galgani
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

To reproduce the problem:

1 - With Totem, open and play the movie:
mms://streaming.uninettuno.it/streaming//video/0892730d-bef8-479c-8cb2-7d4235dbb16b/Lez014.wmv
2 - Keep it playing the first minute, the click on the Pause button.
3 - Keep it paused for (at least) five minutes.
4 - Press Play button: it stops after few seconds and go to the beginning of
the movie.

It's frustrating. It doesn't occur with Windows Media Player (on
Windows)... so, please fix this bug and don't force me to use Windows
only to play movies! Thank you very much.

[Bug 612887] [NEW] cannot open zip archive

2010-08-03 Thread Francesco Galgani
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: fuse-zip

fuse-zip works well with the most of my zip archives, but not all.

I've a big archive (54,4 GB) with 7145 files, created by file-roller.
When I try to open it with fuse-zip, using the following syntax:

fuse-zip ./Scrivania/myarchive.zip tmp

I get the following output:

fuse-zip: cannot open zip archive ./Scrivania/myarchive.zip: Not a zip
archive

Of course I checked the integrity of the archive and it's ok.

The same file can be open well with the archive mounter integrated with
nautilus (gvfs).

[Bug 397906] Re: blank cd-r not detected [Karmic]

2009-11-23 Thread Francesco Galgani
 It`s still sad that this bug is now around for so long an still more
or less nothing happens.

That's why I've changed Linux distribution. With Debian Lenny I use my
cd recorder comfortably (I experienced problems also with previous
versions of Ubuntu).

Of course I hope this bug will be fixed soon, but... it's unassigned.

[Bug 397906] Re: blank cd-r not detected [Karmic]

2009-11-20 Thread Francesco Galgani
I have your same problem: Gnome doesn't detect blank cd-r and I cannot
burn cds if I use my external Iomega SuperSlim DVD drive (that I
bought this morning). Instead, if I use my internal drive (of IBM
Thinkpad R52 Laptop) I haven't problems.

However, I can bypass this bug and burn my cds and dvds using K3B.

sudo apt-get install k3b

I hope this can help you,
Francesco Galgani

[Bug 448678] Re: Karmic: ThunderbirdXorg hog CPU

2009-11-14 Thread Francesco Galgani
I can confirm that Thunderbird is slow in Ubuntu 9.10.
Not only slow, but while reading an email it refreshes the screen and take a
second or two to do that.

[Bug 404572] [NEW] cout - strange behaviour

2009-07-25 Thread Francesco Galgani
Public bug reported:

I use g++ (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) 4.3.3

The following source code produces a wrong output:

#include iostream
using namespace std;
int counter = 0;
int fibonacci (int n) {
counter++;
if ( n = 1) return n ;
return (fibonacci(n-1) + fibonacci(n-2));
}
int main() {
cout  fibonacci(20) =   fibonacci(20)   --   counter
chiamate! (compless. espon.)  endl;
return 0;
}

The output is:
fibonacci(20) = 6765 -- 0 chiamate! (compless. espon.)

Of course, the correct output should be:
fibonacci(20) = 6765 -- 21891 chiamate! (compless. espon.)

The same source code, compiled by Dev-C++ (on a Windows machine),
produces the second output.

I hope you can solve the problem,
thank you,
Francesco Galgani

US-Letter size output, even if the -pa4 option is setted.
