[Bug 467610] [NEW] package grub-pc (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2 There may be other bugs similar, but I couldn't tell if any where due to the reasons I found. Now, I decided to try grub2 as I'm using it at work and it seems to be quite nice. However, at home I am using a software RAID controller using dmraid. The setup for grub2 failed as it said that it could not find a mapping for my boot partitions (which would tell me that it's not loading the proper modules for dmraid.) I have decided to leave it alone for now, and have reverted to grub1. [Bug 285952] Re: request: allow system to clean other unused file like thumbnails, cache
I totally like this idea. Other stuff to clean: - Leftover config files from removed packages (purge). - The APT package cache! - Autoremove packages (obsolete) For stuff like the fonts, thumbnails, logs, etc, there should be a setting where we can say Clean anything older than ___ days. -- request: allow system to clean other unused file like thumbnails, cache https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 130419] Re: smart not respecting sources.list.d
I can confirm this is also the case with Smart 0.54 in Hardy. It seems to pick ONE of the repos found in /etc/apt/sources.list.d and ignore the rest. -- smart not respecting sources.list.d https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130419 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 196021] Re: include bash-completion by default in hardy
+1 I completely agree with everyone here. This is a must have feature, and not including it by default is a regression. -- include bash-completion by default in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196021 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have very similar messages from Network Manager, as do a bunch of people on the forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=584652 In this particular case I'm not using a wireless card, I'm on a wired network using the pcnet32 driver. 00:11.0 Ethernet controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] 79c970 [PCnet32 LANCE] (rev 10) This is actually a VM running in VMware Server 1.0.4 I have not had this problem on two other (real) machines. -- Gusty not shutting down (Deactivating device eth1) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
