[Bug 1069527] [NEW] Only records pdf's reliably
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS gnome-activity-journal: version table: *** 0.9.is.really.0.8.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status - pdf's are always reliably recorded - Open office docs and text files usually appear. - mp3's rarely appear. - rythmbox selections appeared for a couple days then stopped. - webpages are never recorded. My Privacy setting show an orange square ON; I have never clicked "delete history"; no filetypes are checked to "Don't Record". output of gnome-activity-journal --debug: Using the "zeitgeist" module from /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/zeitgeist (I had the problem of not seeing the last couple days records in the journal, so I uninstalled the time-tracker program last week and that problem went away.) I would like to log everything I do. I would appreciate any help or direction. ** Affects: gnome-activity-journal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069527 Title: Only records pdf's reliably To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-activity-journal/+bug/1069527/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 61240] Re: when renaming a file, Shift-del removes the file, not the text
Hello, thanks for your efforts to fix this bug. However, the bug still exists in Natty Narwhal 11.04, nautilus 1:2.32.2.2-0ubuntu3~ppa170. I'm using Unity desktop. I just lost the whole directory of some of my data folder.. Please fix this bug as soon as possible as this issue is quite serious. [Bug 13983] Re: Evolution virtual trash / "real" trash on IMAP server
Like Jochen said, this feature is still not supported. I tried with both IMAP and IMAP+ on Evolution 2.32.2. The mail server is Exchange 2010. In help manual, it says "When you press Delete or click the Trash folder, your mail is not actually deleted, but is marked for deletion. Your email is recoverable until you have expunged your mail." Also, "However, this is not true for the Trash folder on Exchange servers, which behaves just the same as it does in Outlook. It is a normal folder with actual messages in it. For more information about search folders, see Using Search Folders." I was expecting to read how to move mails to "Deleted Items" folder when I press the delete key, but it only says to read about Search folders, which is irrelevant. Right now, when I press the Delete key, the mail is simply marked as deleted and appears in the "virtual folder". Even after pressing F9(send/receive), I couldn't find the deleted mails in OWA(Outlook Web Access) or on my mobile phone's mail app. In Mail Preferences, "Delete Mail" section does not have any relevant options. It has only options related to expunge behavior and empty trash on exit. Sorry if I missed anything, but after investing fair amount of time, I could only conclude that this bug is not fixed. This problem does not exist in Claws, Zimbra and Outlook. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/13983 Title: Evolution virtual trash / "real" trash on IMAP server -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 775637] Re: evolution,no text
Same here. My work-around is to maximize the window and it will show the texts. It certainly is a critical bug as affected users cannot configure the e-mail at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/775637 Title: evolution,no text -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 95853] Re: Add an option to get a confirmation dialog before deleting files in Nautilus
To some people who think "Delete" is just a "Move to Trash bin": Suppose that you have 1500+ items in your trash bin. You pressed DEL without noticing which file it was. Objectively speaking, do you still think it is a reasonable behavior? You'll understand how irritating this is if you commit and feel the pain. (As I did just now on a Lucid 32bit Desktop.) If one wants to "Move" to the "Trash bin", he will simply drag and drop it to the waste bin. I'm not saying they are "short-sighted", but it would be really nice to consider other people's view and think what could be the possible outcomes if not fixed. And who simply says "because it is Not Windows" does not seem to be logical answer to me - just emotional. As you could see from the above example, confirmation dialogue should be quite "practical" for many people, especially for people who want to move to the Linux world from Windows. If it makes Ubuntu better, why not accept and fix it? People who don't like this functionality could simply turn it off. No loser, isn't it? -- Add an option to get a confirmation dialog before deleting files in Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
