Public bug reported: Please sync cmake 2.8.3-3 (main) from Debian experimental (main) Changelog entries since current natty version 2.8.3-1: cmake (2.8.3-3) experimental; urgency=low * Install documentation to /usr/share/cmake-data instead as it's the "base" package rather than cmake. (Closes: #600245) [ Modestas Vainius ] * Install cmake documentation into /usr/share/doc/cmake/ and link doc directories of the rest binary packages to it (needs debhelper 7.4.2). [Bug 636311] Re: Keyboard special keys interfere with mouse
I have been using the aubergine packages since they were released and had been facing the (0,0) cursor move issue on first use ever since. Out of curiosity, I installed ppa-purge this morning and proceeded to purge the aubergine PPA. Four packages were downgraded: xserver-common xserver-xephyr xserver-xorg-core xserver-xorg-input-evdev. The first 3 packages are built from the xorg-server source package and the last one is built from the xserver-xorg-input-evdev source package. I took a look on both packages' changelog and, even though none has been modified since even before Maverick's release date, both the original issue of the special keys interfering with the mouse and the (0,0) cursor move glitch are gone now! [Bug 330824] Re: Soft lockups (freezes) when deleting files from ext4 partitions on 2.6.28
@Theodore Ts'o I can consistently reproduce this bug on my Acer Aspire One AOA150, which also has an Atom N270 plus 1GB of RAM and a 120GB SATA HD. It happens even on a clean install of Jaunty, as well as on a fully updated install, with more than 100GB of HD free. I can reliably trigger this bug by 'rm -rf'ing the LLVM+GCC+CLANG after I build them. You asked about other allocations ocorruring when the bug is triggered. I think the only other thing I was running during these lockups was Firefox plus a few extensions (NoScript, AdBlock Plus, DownloadThemAll ), but I can trigger these lockups even when I log in through Ubuntu's recovery menu on boot up ( which, I guess, has the absolute minimum of processes running in the background ). I also should mention that kernel 2.6.29 ( from http://kernel.ubuntu.com /~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.29.1/ ) seems to have fixed this bug for me. -- Soft lockups (freezes) when deleting files from ext4 partitions on 2.6.28 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330824 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 353451] [NEW] System freezes when doing heavy IO in Jaunty with ext4
Public bug reported: I am experiencing frequent lock-ups/hangs/freezes with the Jaunty Desktop Beta version, using ext4. Every now and then it'll freeze, no matter if I just booted or if I've been logged in for 5 hours. I have experimented a lot of things to trigger these freezes what I could come up with was: 1- Install Jaunty Desktop Beta 2- Install svn ++ build-essentials 3- Check out llvm's trunk 3- ( Usually in llvm/tools ) Check out clang's trunk 4- ( Usually in llvm/tools ) Check out llvm-gcc' trunk 5- Build it ( ./configure --enable-optimized ) 6- Delete llvm's folder ( rm -rf llvm/ ) Although this procedure will take a lot of time, it consistently triggers the freeze on my system. After de first freeze, it'll sometimes freeze again if you do a 'make clean' in llvm's folder or you try to svn update. I'd like to reinforce that this is reproducible without installing any other packages or updates (although it will keep on freezing even on a fully updated system). I checked some logs in /var/logs and couldn't really find anything suspicious. I'm eager to hear back from you guys and expecting more instructions what I can do to help. [Bug 290991] Re: [intrepid] ath5k linux-backports-modules crash
This bug seems to be fixed on my Acer Aspire One on Intrepid's kernel 2.6.27-11. I've done several reboots since yesterday and the wireless network is being picked and working just as expected. The only issue I had was that I lost any wireless connectivity after upgrading the kernel, since the respective backports modules weren't installed. I wonder whether it's the expected behavior or it should be installed automatically. All in all, congrats! -- [intrepid] ath5k linux-backports-modules crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290991 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 119561] Re: Not getting full screen resolution
I just installed Intrepid on a SIS 661fx system I can't get it to run at any resolution above 800x600 Both the Screen Resolution application Xrandr won't find the native monitor mode ( 1024x768 @ 60 ) and, despite being able to add such mode through Xrandr, I can't switch to it. I don't really know what kind of information is needed to investigate this, but I'll hastily help contributing any logs. PS: This happens both on kernel 2.6.27-7 and 2.6.27-10, and I think it worked well during the Intrepid Alphas, but I can't confirm this right now. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-sis (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Not getting full screen resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119561 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 300851] [NEW] Crashes in Intrepid whenever a search tab is closed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: amule I'm on Intrepid running Amule 2.2.2 and all updates applied. Whenever I click the 'x' button on a search tab to close it, Amule will crash and generate a backtrace, which I'm reproducing below: A fatal error has occurred and aMule has crashed. [Bug 272606] Re: ABNT2 Numpad Keyboard keys misbehaving
This bug is actually almost 2 months old already. Regarding your doubt, version 4.1 was supposed to fix this, but it didn't. If you downgrade to version 4, Update Manager will tell you there's an update, since the 4.1 package wasn't dropped off the repository. You just have to keep ignoring version 4.1 until there's a proper fix released. -- ABNT2 Numpad Keyboard keys misbehaving https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 272606] Re: ABNT2 Numpad Keyboard keys misbehaving
I just installed Intrepid on a Dell Latitude 120L laptop with ABNT2 keyboard, so I have only one 'dot' key, which I guess maps to the regular dot key on standard keyboards, and I can confirm that the 'dot' inputs a comma with xkb-data-1.3-2ubuntu4.1. The 'solution' for the time being seems to be downgrading to xkb- data-1.3-2ubuntu4. I'm waiting for a better solution and willing to help with testing, if needed. -- ABNT2 Numpad Keyboard keys misbehaving https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272606 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
