[Bug 1603299] Re: Crash with latest html5lib

2017-05-17 Thread Levente Torok
By using remarkable (a markdown editor) I ran into the same error.
I suggest to use the following version of html5lib exactly

sudo pip install html5lib==0.999

with seven 9s exactly.

[Bug 1299604] Re: evolution keeps asking for password

2017-03-09 Thread Levente Torok
I suspect, this is key handling issue.
To solve it, you should open application called seahorse
click on View, click on "By keyring"
Right click on Certificates like "Gnome key storage" and unlock it.

Re: [Bug 1538943] Re: Macbook Air 6.2 wakes up immediately after suspend

2016-01-29 Thread Levente Torok
Hi Chris,
I think there are many people out wanting to help but the described process
is not only longish but error prone and people are more than likely to fail
which will end the life of their beloved operating system, so they dont
even start doing it. So do I. And This going to be the case forever, unless
some automated kernel testing tool has been developed which guarantee that
there is a fallback case to the stable kernel.
I wish someone, especially at ubuntu, have recognized it and develop such
a tool. It would trendously increase your feedbacks on a request you just
sent me.
Cheers
Lev

Re: [Bug 1515117] Re: macbook air wakes up immediately after suspend

2015-11-15 Thread Levente Torok
Hi,
As I remember the kernel version of that came with 15.04 at around June was
working fine. Which one was it?
I don't know.

I will try to use one of the specified packages soon, and report.
Thanks,
Levente

Re: [Bug 1483054] Re: macbook air wakes up immediately after suspend

2015-11-02 Thread Levente Torok
I worked well on the first kernel of Ubuntu 15.04 until June roughly.
Since it has gone to this state it never got working properly again, no
matter if upgrade to the newest kernel of ubuntu that comes along with the
packages upgrades.

[Bug 1483054] Re: macbook air wakes up immediately after suspend

2015-10-15 Thread Levente Torok
On kernel 3.19.0-30-generic #34-Ubuntu SMP I am still experiencing this, or
similar.
The exact description is this: sometimes it can suspend but if it wakes up, the
next suspend is again the
"immediate wake up" state again.

Re: [Bug 1483054] Re: macbook air wakes up immediately after suspend

2015-08-13 Thread Levente Torok
Hi Joseph,

Yes. It did happen after update. It was working fine before as far as I
remember.
I have tried to test former kernel version again but haven't succeeded with
the Grub configuration.

I will try to use the latest upstream kernel later on for sure.
Thanks for dealing with my case.

Cheers,
Lev

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
 v4.2 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
 tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
 Confirmed.

 Thanks in advance.

Re: [Bug 1320129] Re: BCM57765/57785 SDXC/MMC Card Reader + Kingston 16Gb ( macbook 8.1 )

2014-11-05 Thread Levente Torok
Dear Chris,

I have recently checked it with precompiled 3.15 and 3.17 kernels.
It seems to wrong still but a different way.
It identifies the memory card, however very slowly, I can partition it, but
cannot format it, because it brakes.
If I format it on other platforms it cannot read.
Do you want the exact kernel messages to work on it?

Cheers,
Levente

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply.
I certainly can but takes a time to build a kernel and play with it on my
ubuntu.
If ther would be a prebuilt kernel, it would behelpful for many other as well,
I am sure.
But I can try.
Cheers,

Re: [Bug 162111] Re: Evince displays math equations incorrectly

2010-06-15 Thread Levente Torok
Unfortunately I don't have access to the other (good) system now. At
the evening I will have.
Interestingly, I didn't have this package either and problem lived in
the system.
And installing it, didn't change anything.
Second. I did reinstall all the packages that have 'font' or 'poppler'
either in the description or in the name.
Plus I did sudo fc-cache. And the problem still persists.

But now, I did remove the package ttf-symbol-replacement from my wrong
system and the doc looks perfect.
Installed, wrong, deinstalled, good.

So thanks for the help.

Evince cannot print it on odd/even pages plus it brakes down at page 122.
Interestingly not only evince but okular is the same so I suspect this is a bug

 Hi,
My problem is that If i put a single file into Ubuntu One folder it
usually works great (but sometimes it is not reacting), but if I put there
folder that contains other files and other folders, it doesn't synchronize
all of them. For example I put there folder that contains 5 other folders
and 2 files, and it only put online 1 folder and one file.
If it may help, todays I had also two .u1confilict files created.

Re: [Bug 482991] Re: Brasero hangs at Get Size process on 64bit Ubuntu 9.1

2009-12-04 Thread Levente Torok
Hi All,

I prepared for generating backtrace in a manner written down here.
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash
However I couldn't start
/usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero
neither in bash
 l...@red:~/04$ /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero
bash: /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero: cannot execute binary file
nor in gdb

l...@red:~/04$ gdb /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero 21 | tee ~/gdb-brasero.txt
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.0-ubuntu

This GDB was configured as x86_64-linux-gnu.
For bug reporting instructions, please see:

Starting program: /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero
/bin/bash: /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/brasero: cannot execute binary file

so I started brasero manually and tried to test if bug still exists.
And it seems to be gone. However I don't know if there were any
software update since my reporting of this bug.
May be some of the libraries on which it relies seem to get a root of
this bug solved hiddenly.
Anyway.
I cannot report on this issue anymore.

Levente

ps: one more idea! At the time of the reporting. My machine was pretty
full of data could it be that brasero cannot
generate some auxiliary file and to check the size accordingly?

[Bug 419143] Re: Printing from evince (and perhaps other GTK apps) to PostScript printers is broken

2009-11-17 Thread Levente Torok
It is not related to a specific printer. Actually, evince cannot print on any
of the printers.
I tried the latest evince version 2.29 too but it behaves exactly the same.
For this reason I switched back to the version that can be found in the repo
(2.28)

Actually it is may be related to the bug #200988 .

Thanks:L

2009-11-17 Thread Levente Torok
For some reasons I had the impression that this is related to the
upgrade from 9.04. However I still don't know if it was but I got the
solution as:

rm $HOME/.gnome2/evince $HOME/.gnome2/accels/evince -Rf

And after that evince can print again nicely.

2009-11-17 Thread Levente Torok
Hi,

I tried to use evince 2.29 from http://live.gnome.org/Evince/Downloads
however it didn't solve my problem. I suggest you to take chance on this.
Or, okular (kpdf). printing is not that advanced (yet) but okular is
very nice either.

Unfortunately that didn't work for me. Hopefully the fix will be
released soon so I can stop working around with xpdf.

Since it is forgotten at each reboot you can make it start automatically as

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/options

add line

options uvcvideo quirks=2
