[Bug 128357] Re: boinc does not idle with mouse movement

2009-12-22 Thread M.Hilpert
In my case (Ubuntu 9.10, 64 Bit, BOINC 6.10.17), nothing stops the BOINC
computation - not even typing in a terminal.

[Bug 477304] [NEW] 90%+ CPU usage (GNOME)

2009-11-07 Thread M.Hilpert
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vino

After upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 (64 Bit), my desktop gets unusable.
The "top" command shows that the process "gnome-panel" uses 90% and more
of CPU time. Login with another user: the same. Removing

~/.gconf
~/.gnome

and restart also doesn't help.

gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/panel

also doesn't help.

The panels are unusable (non-responsive) and some applets (like the user
switch applet) crash during login. Fortunately, I have wisely an icon on
the desktop to start a browser and a terminal. When I try to save a file
with the browser, the dialog opens and freezes. "top" then shows 90%+
CPU usage for the process "evince".

** Affects: vino (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
