[Bug 585615] Re: UPS is lost at the random point
It seems i got the pattern. UPS is lost only if nut started at system start up. If nut restarted manually, it seems to be never lost, or at least i yet to see lost UPS event after manual restart. Also, it seems, 4h is not an upper limit. It can work stable for day and then become lost. -- UPS is lost at the random point https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585615 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 585615] [NEW] UPS is lost at the random point
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nut Ups in nut works nice, but only for some time. It is something from 30m to 4h. After aforementioned time passed ups is lost. BUT ups can be easily regained: root need to restart nut. While it is a workaround, but still not desirable behavior. [Bug 530383] Re: Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared
Sorry, i missed discussion about this bug in my mailbox. For some reason it dropped into spam. Basically the problem is that i was not smart enough to use "screen" utility. But it is not a point. The point of bug is when terminal is lost (i.e. internet connection or ssh session is aborted (i.e terminated unexpectedly)) terminal window is not closed and left orphan. 1. If i'm in normal bash and ssh session is terminated, terminal is destroyed (no complains, works as expected) 2. If i'm in screened session and ssh session is terminated, terminal is preserved and can be reigned later via means of screen -r But if in whiptail terminal is preserved and cannot be regained, meaning it left as orphan in system forever leaving user only with kill -9. Expected behavior: terminal is preserved and can be regained via some means if ssh is terminated during apt-get execution if apt-get have not exited at point of reconnection. ** Changed in: sun-java6 (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
