[Bug 1721833] Re: Can't type numbers in the evolution search box

2018-02-23 Thread Michael Neuling
+1

The lack of updates to simple yet annoying problems in Evolution is the
number one reason I'm moving to Fedora next time I install my laptop.
Seems to happen every release.

[Bug 1734802] [NEW] Can't type the numbers 1-5 into the search bar when trying to filter emails.

2017-11-27 Thread Michael Neuling
Public bug reported:

I can't type the numbers 1-5 into the search bar when trying to filter
emails.

Fix is upstream in evolution in this commit

commit 0b6a4a707279d63c389bff691da4519d51f468a6
Author: Milan Crha
Date: Wed Oct 4 18:49:06 2017 +0200

Label shortcuts prevent typing numbers

Since change for bug 787002 typing numbers into for example search
entry was not possible, due to the shortcuts for labels "consuming"
the key presses. The fix is to allow labels only if the message
list is focused, when also the context menu contains the Labels.

This had been reported downstream:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1498484

Please backport to Artful

FWIW I patched the existing 3.22.1 release with the upstream patch
06dc3464c835e35fd8412a6aeb35d88056940351 and it fixes the problem.

[Bug 1635460] [NEW] Magic spacebar only changes to next message

2016-10-20 Thread Michael Neuling
Public bug reported:

According to here https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/mail-
reading-keyboard-shortcuts.html.en

When viewing messages, "If the message is more than one screen long, the
Spacebar works as Page Down.".

This no longer occurs in 16.10. It always goes to the next unread
message.

16.04 worked as documented.

I don't think the debs have been created correctly. The debs that have
been created don't seem to have the ppc64 LE config which normally end
with *_ppc64el.deb
