[Bug 968534] Re: zenity crashed with SIGSEGV in zenity_tree_dialog_response()
Updates 3.4.0-0ubuntu4 fixed most of my problems, thanks to developers. Minor quibble is the scale option, mouse wheel used to scroll the bar, not working now, but keyboard still works. [Bug 968534] Re: zenity crashed with SIGSEGV in zenity_tree_dialog_response()
I have many scripts with Zenity, with the update to 12.04 many now don't work, there is no message and CPU usage rises progressively. [Bug 819721] Re: quicklists not accessible for the first time just after login
You are correct, it was an anomaly . . but I didn't imagine it, there was a change. [Bug 819721] Re: quicklists not accessible for the first time just after login
I'm cautiously optimistic the quicklist problem is sorted - at least for me, with latest downloads. At login all seems to work fine. The other problem I mentioned however, has not. Meta+s and click quicklist still freezes quicklist menu on the screen but Jan's option of clicking another to unfreeze works fine . . not a big problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/819721 Title: quicklists not accessible for the first time just after login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/819721/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 824215] Re: Skype share desktop requires two clicks

[Bug 819721] Re: quicklists not accessible for the first time just after login
Still have this problem but more worrying, I pressed meta+s to see my 4 workspaces then right clicked launcher icon to access a quicklist, not only would not select items in quicklist - but the actual quicklist popup menu stayed on the desktop frozen, had to reboot to get it to vanish, nothing in logs. [Bug 858902] Applets freezing
Applets freeze [all] when either meta+w or meta+s is used to arrange desktops or open applications. [Bug 858902] Audio mixer applet freezes
More testing. Not only does the audio applet become non responsive during meta+w or Scale, but ALL applets on panel freeze. Pressing meta+w or click with mouse for Scale, then clicking another applet unfreezes applet. It is not possible to click another applet and unfreeze unless the desktop arrangement is normalised [by pressing meta+w again] then it is easy. [Bug 858902] audio mixer freezes
I've since done more testing; seems it has nothing to do with Firefox or loading video embedded pages. Audio mixer applet becomes unresponsive when meta+w is pressed. It remains unresponsive until meta+w is pressed again and another applet is clicked with mouse, when it becomes responsive again. Have 'Scale' plugin enabled in Compiz so by placing my mouse pointer top right of screen it activates window arrangement the same as pressing meta+w. Might also mention sound is fine while applet is frozen; just can't be adjusted. Have applied all latest updates and other than this, sound works fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858902 Title: Audio mixer applet freezes when firefox scrolling/video used To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/858902/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 858902] Mixer applet freezing
Reproduced several times by accessing a web page with an embedded video link that has audio, with Firefox. For instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3rM4vT7Vgsfeature=related Then press 'meta+w' to arrange all open windows; or in my case move mouse top/right corner as I have 'Scale' activated in CSSM, both options produce this error. As this is done there is an audible click from the sound system and volume/mixer applet freezes. Close Firefox wait a second or so and click any other applet on panel and the mixer applet 'unfreezes' and is active again. Sound will still be running while all this happens. I have underlined frozen applet in red. -- Linux powered laptop ** Attachment added: grab10.jpg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858902/+attachment/2461081/+files/grab10.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858902 Title: Audio mixer applet freezes when firefox scrolling/video used To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/858902/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 824215] Re: Skype share desktop requires two clicks
Omer, checked Skype with Compiz running the Classic desktop. Skype required two attempts to 'share full desktop'. Stopped desktop sharing, tried again and it worked immediately. Closed Skype connection and logged out, logged back in and restarted Skype, tried to share desktop - but again required two attempts to succeed. Conclusion drawn is Compiz inhibits a screen share the first time; but not on second attempt. Nothing in logs. It is a minor problem, as my recipients [mostly Windows users] now take it for granted this is what I have to do in Linux. Other than this all Skype connections work very well and once desktop sharing is successfully initiated that also works fast and efficiently. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/824215 Title: Skype share desktop requires two clicks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/824215/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Omer, tested in Classic desktop with Metacity running as requested, there was no problem with Skype sharing desktop, took approx 3 seconds to share and tested three times to be sure.
