Re: [Bug 214370] Re: Logout/Shutdown Sound Not Working
I agree that this issue is ridiculous. Ubuntu developers have two options if they respect loyal users. 1. They can fix the problem. It appears they are not willing to do this. Or, 2. They can have the courtesy to provide reasons for not fixing the problem. They may have good reasons. Ignoring customer complaints never results in a good end. [Bug 401425] [NEW] Warning when installing phpmyadmin
Public bug reported: I am using Jaunty amd64. I received the following warning when installing phpmyadmin in the terminal: *** WARNING: ucf was run from a maintainer script that uses debconf, but the script did not pass --debconf-ok to ucf. The maintainer script should be fixed to not stop debconf before calling ucf, and pass it this parameter. For now, ucf will revert to using old-style, non-debconf prompting. Ugh! Please inform the package maintainer about this problem. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Warning when installing phpmyadmin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401425 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Sorry. I forgot to say that I added the line blacklist = backend_manager in /etc/checkbox.d/checkbox.ini under the item [checkbox/plugins] M David Wing wrote: > I just upgraded to Jaunty today and I had the same problem with System > Testing crashing. I added the line blacklist = backend_manager to /etc/checkbox.d/checkbox.ini and System Testing now works in Jaunty.
