[Bug 1895327] Re: PRIME Render Offload "On-Demand" not supported
meloli@Asus-A17:~$ prime-select query on-demand meloli@Asus-A17:~$ nvidia-smi | 0 GeForce GTX 166... Off | :01:00.0 Off | N/A | | N/A 37CP8 1W / N/A But the nvidia GPU is never used used automatic : I always have only 1W consumption. I only have nvidia GPU working (and consumption about 10W) when using the prefix : __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia So nothing "on demand" but only manual switching. It seems that eamless/automatic switching was available in 435 driver. In nvidia-settings I don't have a PRIME Profiles as you can see on this doc : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/_media/nvidia-prime-profiles.jpg Here you can see another example with 435 driver and "On Demand" mode : https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/deh01n/nvidia_on_demand/ You can see the three mode. [Bug 505102] [NEW] No ethernet and no Wifi in Kubuntu 9.10 (on Toshiba P300 with Marvell Yukon ethernet and Intel Wifi)
Public bug reported: Hi, I've bought a toshiba P300-27Z wich have : - a Marvell Yukon 88E8040T PCI-E ethernet card - a Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN. I've neither internet nor LAN connexion after installation from Kubuntu 9.10 32 bits or 64 bits. On the french forum I've found this http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=3196309 : 'Add pci=use_crs to grub2 options, for example in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=pci=use_crs'. With this, the connexion works but is very very slow, particulary in the acces to server. Other users of toshiba with Marvell Yukon cards have the same problem. I have seen this on the internet. I think it is a bug of the 9.10 version because the two connexion (LAN and wifi) works fine on Kubuntu 9.04 !
