[Bug 1874588] Re: Flickering screen after waking up from Suspend
My apologies. I wasn't checking this often enough. I upgraded the kernel top 5.16 and the issue went away. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874588 Title: Flickering screen after waking up from Suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1874588/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1874588] [NEW] Flickering screen after waking up from Suspend
Public bug reported: Just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and everything was fine, display worked perfect. Then I put the machine in Suspend mode (by clicking on GUI button), left for 5 minutes, came back, woke up the machine (by clicking a key on the keyboard), and upon waking up, the display started flickering heavily. Relevant Specs (Sorry if I missed anything): AMD® Ryzen 9 3900x 12-core processor × 24 AMD® Radeon rx 5700 xt GNOME version 3.36.1 Windowing System X11 I am running 3 monitors: Samsung with resolution 3840x2160 and 2 LG monitors with resolution 1920x1080, all at 60Hz Most of the flickering is happening on Samsung, although once in a while, other monitors flicker a little bit as well. Things to note: When I switch Samsung to lower resolution, the flickering goes away. When I come back to 3840x2160, it comes back. When I switch to lower resolution, suspend and come back, everything is fine. If I reboot the machine, the display is fine until I suspend and wake up again (if I am in higher resolution). I tried changing the refresh rate of Samsung to 30.00 and 29.97 (the only two available when I turn off FreeSync), and the issue still persists. Turning FreeSync on and off does nothing. Thank you, Pavel. [Bug 1040557] Re: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C, np700z5c laptop
Just bricked my Samsung 530u3c. UEFI mode was on. I made a bootable flash from Ubuntu 12.10 64bit image using 12.04's usb disc creator, then booted up, UEFI mode was on. (I've seen the black grub screen insteard of syslinux), it booted normaly, everything was ok. Then I tried to disable bluetooth and got kernel panic. After reboot I see the black screen and nothing happens. Such a pity. It takes at most 45 days to repair any device in Russia. Only after that time I can request for new one or money back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1040557 Title: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C,np700z5c laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1040557/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1040557] Re: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C, np700z5c laptop
Bootable flash was with Ubuntu 12.10 64bit image and I made it form 12.04 allready installed. 12.04 32 bit booted nicely with UEFI support mode on. This boot image had syslinux bootloader. I insalled it and used it since i've bought my laptop. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1040557 Title: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C,np700z5c laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1040557/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 575124] [NEW] cannot use Dynamic WEP with static IP
Public bug reported: Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS When i try to configure wi-fi connection to use dynamic wep and choose manually assigned ip address in nm-connection-editor, the appy button button becomes disabled and never enables, no matter what ip address is filled in. The only workaround i've found is to configure WPA\WPA2 Enterprise connection, fill in my settings there and then change them to dynamic wep through gconf-editor.
