[Bug 1265065] Re: Desktop freeze while drag-maximizing window
I am afraid I cannot install testing version of Ubuntu to my main system, since some other programs might not work with it and I should use it intensively quite long (over a week). If you are sure the cause of the problem is xorg and Ubuntu 14.04 will use Mir, probably it is not wise to waste time to fixing such a rare bug on xorg. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265065 Title: Desktop freeze while drag-maximizing window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1265065/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1265065] [NEW] Desktop freeze while drag-maximizing window
Public bug reported: It has happened today twice at 22:23 and 22:54. I laft click with mouse on firefox titlebar and try to drag it up against "taskbar" to make FF windo to maximize. I see this shadow/animation of window about to extend its borders and desktop freezes. I do not remember if mouse still moves. I go to another console Ctrl+Alt+1, log in, and execute "pkill -U username" that brings me back to logon screen.
