I recommend run '/sbin/mdadm --assemble --scan' command _before_ waiting for root device because it's faster. Second thing I discovered is call of 'sync', 'udevtrigger' and 'udevsettle' commands before and after 'mdadm'. I recommend run '/sbin/mdadm --assemble --scan' command _before_ waiting for root device because it's faster. Second thing I discovered is call of 'sync', 'udevtrigger' and 'udevsettle' commands before and after 'mdadm'.
