Thanks for the review. conky-all wasn't marked as 'auto install', I manually marked and installed it as standalone app, then was surprised it would get removed if I wouldn't closely pay attention to what gets autoremoved. It wasn't brought_in_as_a_dependency from another app if this is the meaning of it. e.g. lets say I've installed Gnote manually and it wouldn't get autoremoved, why is that? I'd simply expect after manually installing an app it doesn't get autoremoved. Regarding comment #10 from Kantastisk, thanks a lot for the idea of the workaround. Have already alacarte, gconf-editor a.o. in there, but didn't think of adding clock-applet. Open CCSM, plugin 'place'. http://wiki.compiz.org/Plugins/Place Click on clock applet. (here on bottom panel) Open a terminal: $ xprop|grep WM_CLASS|cut -d\ -f4 Clock-applet ## After the cmd, cursor turns into a cross, click on clock-applet which reveals window class.
