[Bug 1833671] [NEW] bond interfaces stop working after restart of systemd-networkd
Public bug reported: Running systemd-networkd from systemd 237-3ubuntu10.23 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 I have one machine where, every time systemd-networkd restarts (ie every time there is an update to systemd) the bond0 interface stops working. I see both physical interfaces go soft down and then come back again: Jun 21 07:28:24 odin.openstreetmap.org systemd[1]: systemd 237 running in system mode. (+PAM +AUDIT +SELINUX +IMA +APPARMOR +SMACK +SYSVINIT +UTMP +LIBCRYPTSETUP +GCRYPT +GNUTLS +ACL +XZ +LZ4 +SEC Jun 21 07:28:24 odin.openstreetmap.org systemd[1]: Detected architecture x86-64. On most machines the cycle seems to take a bit longer and the interfaces reach a hard down start before coming back and in that case there seems to be no problem. I think this is likely an instance of this upstream bug: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/10118 which has a fix here: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/10465 ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1833671 Title: bond interfaces stop working after restart of systemd-networkd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1833671/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 278838] [NEW] VMWare Workstation 5.5 kernel module (vmmon, vmnet) doesn't compile on 8.04 (hardy heron)
Public bug reported: This is really a VMWare bug, but the vmmon and vmnet kernel modules don't compile against 2.6.24, which is used by Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy heron). Attached are two patches, which work on my machine running VMWare workstation 5.5.8 and Ubuntu 8.04.1 (Kernel version 2.6.24-19). To install VMWare using these patches, extract vmmon.tar and vmnet.tar from vmware-distrib/lib/modules/source to new directories. Then apply the appropriate patch to each directory, and create a new tarball. Copy the new tarballs over the old ones in vmware-distrib/lib/modules/source and run the vmware-install.pl script. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- VMWare Workstation 5.5 kernel module (vmmon, vmnet) doesn't compile on 8.04 (hardy heron) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278838 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
