[Bug 1881459] [NEW] sshguard triggers on its own log messages
Public bug reported: Extract from `journalctl -u sshguard`: May 31 03:13:00 hostname sshguard[123]: Attack from "10.0.2.2" on service 100 with danger 2. May 31 03:13:00 hostname sshguard[123]: Attack from "10.0.2.2" on service 110 with danger 10. May 31 03:13:01 hostname sshguard[123]: Attack from "10.0.2.2" on service 110 with danger 10. May 31 03:13:01 hostname sshguard[123]: Attack from "10.0.2.2" on service 110 with danger 10. May 31 03:13:01 hostname sshguard[123]: Blocking "10.0.2.2/32" for 120 secs (4 attacks in 1 secs, after 1 abuses over 1 secs.) What seems to have happened here is that an SSH connection (service 100) failed, causing sshguard to log an attack. Then, sshguard saw its own log message (service 110), and went into a loop of retriggering attack messages until it reached the threshold and banned the IP. This is a very disproportionate response to a single connection error. The example LOGREADER setting in the upstream repository does not exhibit this behaviour; the difference seems to be that the log filters are specified by `-t sshd` rather than SYSLOG_FACILITY; it's not clear to me why this change might have been made by the packager. ** Affects: sshguard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1881459 Title: sshguard triggers on its own log messages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sshguard/+bug/1881459/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1565985] Re: vagrant vb ubuntu/xenial64 cannot mount synced folders
Bob Tanner's issue (#9) is a separate problem; I had it with Vagrant 1.8.1 but it's been solved in Vagrant 1.8.4 (I don't know about intervening versions) -- https://github.com/mitchellh/vagrant/issues/6871 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565985 Title: vagrant vb ubuntu/xenial64 cannot mount synced folders To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-images/+bug/1565985/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 966949] Re: cups printing HTML adds spacing between some fonts
I have also experienced this problem. This seems to be a problem in Firefox 11.0's printing, as it did not occur in 3.6. This problem seems to arise only after at least one document has been printed already. [Bug 966949] Re: cups printing HTML adds spacing between some fonts
I am subscribed to the bug, but I'm not quite sure what that has to do with reporting it to Mozilla. I tried to change this bug to affecting the firefox project, but for some reason launchpad thinks I didn't provide a project name. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/966949 Title: cups printing HTML adds spacing between some fonts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/966949/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 368546] Re: init script doesn't launch tpb at startup
I believe there is a way to change the boot order so that it boots after X11. However, I don't know enough about upstart to figure it out. I will work on this and try to find a fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368546 Title: init script doesn't launch tpb at startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tpb/+bug/368546/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
