[Bug 2046871] Re: migrate to upstream release/coreNN branch
Resubmit debdiffs for oracular and noble built against latest core88. While Noble is to receive oem-6.1x, fixed builds against v6.10 kernels as well. Also bumped OBSOLETE_BY to 6.11 for main 6.10 has UCODE API 90, this has 91, and iwlwifi in netdev-next has 92. Updated debian version as indicated in comment #3. While this updates the original tarball, it's also submitted to PPA https://launchpad.net/~vicamo/+archive/ubuntu/ppa-2046871. ** Patch removed: "backport-iwlwifi-dkms_84.11517-git6d876484-0ubuntu1.noble.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/+bug/2046871/+attachment/5730670/+files/backport-iwlwifi-dkms_84.11517-git6d876484-0ubuntu1.noble.debdiff ** Attachment added: "backport-iwlwifi-dkms_0~88.12113-gitd7d581b7-0ubuntu1~24.04.1.noble.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2046871/+attachment/5793672/+files/backport-iwlwifi-dkms_0~88.12113-gitd7d581b7-0ubuntu1~24.04.1.noble.debdiff ** Attachment removed: "backport-iwlwifi-dkms_0~88.12113-gitd7d581b7-0ubuntu1~24.04.1.noble.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/+bug/2046871/+attachment/5793672/+files/backport-iwlwifi-dkms_0~88.12113-gitd7d581b7-0ubuntu1~24.04.1.noble.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2046871 Title: migrate to upstream release/coreNN branch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backport-iwlwifi-dkms/+bug/2046871/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

To verify ipu6-drivers alone, one will need + experimental kernels from https://launchpad.net/~canonical-hwe- + team/+archive/ubuntu/intermediate-kernel. + + Here are steps for verifying kernels from -proposed pocket: 1. test camera after rebooting into a proposed kernel, 2. run suspend/resume stress test plan. 3. verify camera still working [Where problems could occur] These fixes are quite limited to ipu6/ivsc platforms, and affected no power-consumption or other notisible problem. [Other Info] While some of the fixes are still under upstream review, meaning they're not yet available in any kernel release, linux-unstable/oracular/noble and oem-6.8/6.1x will be nominated for fix. == original bug report == With IVSC switched to in-tree driver since 6.8 kernels in bug 2061747, it's still suffering from various problems that blocks camera driver stack being loaded correctly. [Bug 1988887] Re: Missing build dependency
As far as I know, package python3-importlib-resources is not needed as long as the python version is 3.9 or later. As a result, it shall not be an issue with the recently-released Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and the ongoing development. Since packages are build automatically using the automated environment, having built package present means that the build-dependency is satisfied at the time of package build. As a result, I consider your bug report here to be invalid. If you find out that the build will indeed fail on a certain previously- released Ubuntu version, please feel free to make further comments and reopen this bug. For now, I am marking this bug report as invalid since it does not contain necessary information for me to reproduce this bug. ** Changed in: python-importlib-metadata (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197 Title: Missing build dependency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-importlib-metadata/+bug/197/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
