[Bug 1296270] Re: Have to login twice after suspending
Since I upgraded to Vivid I get exactly the same issue Nils mentioned here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1296270/comments/25 and I didn't have any double locks before. I had only the LightDM lock screen, but now the old Gnome screensaver-like lock screen appears as well, just before the LightDM lock. [Bug 837954] Re: knockd service fails to start when connecting with NetworkManager
Um... I observed that it happens because my wireless interface is down when knockd is about to start. It usually happens during boot and after the machine resumed from suspend. I thought I'll give a try to "After=network-online.target" option for the systemd config of knockd but I didn't find any configuration. It looks like there's an old-style init script under the hood. Finally I wrote a bash script that starts or stops knockd when the interface is up/down, made it executable and placed to /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/ - it's working now. ** Attachment added: "Workaround" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/knockd/+bug/837954/+attachment/4505920/+files/90nmknockd -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/837954 Title: knockd service fails to start when connecting with NetworkManager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/knockd/+bug/837954/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 705267] Re: Applications that remain running in notification area get relaunched
I'm not sure I have the same problem as described above. When I start Thunderbird using the message indicator (envelope icon), Thuderbird icon appears in the launcher. When I right-click on it and choose "keep in launcher" the icon stays there. But... After these, when I start Thunderbird through the message indicator again, the icon in the launcher is not active and it doesn't have an arrow, instead of that, an empty space appears on the bottom (there's no icon, just the space of it). After a right-click on that, the "keep in laucher" menu item seems to be checked. When I close the Thunderbird window after these steps, the empty space remains there. It disappears when I uncheck "keep in launcher" but the "keep in launcher" item of proper Thunderbird icon on the left bar gets unchecked as well automatically, although it stays in the launcher. When I hide it by checking then unckecking "keep in launcher" on it and I start Thunderbird using the message indicator, there is no Thunderbird icon or empty space any more on the launcher until I log out and back. Skype has similar issues on my system since I updated yesterday evening. (I update daily.) I'm using Oneiric right now, the oneiric-security and oneiric-updates repos (and a few PPAs but nothing that affects Unity AFAIK) and I don't use oneiric-proposed and -backports. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705267 Title: Applications that remain running in notification area get relaunched To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bamf/+bug/705267/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
