[Bug 445872] Re: disable-disconnect-notification option ignored
Can someone explain why this patch: lp341684_device_sensitive_disconnect_notify.patch does not use the function applet_do_notify_with_pref () to display disconnected notifications? You can see where it was removed by the patch: - applet_do_notify_with_pref (applet, _(Disconnected), - _(The network connection has been disconnected.), - nm-no-connection, - PREF_DISABLE_DISCONNECTED_NOTIFICATIONS); The above function checks the value of /apps/nm-applet/disable-disconnected-notifications before displaying the notification. [Bug 835972] Re: after resume the Disconnected - you are now offline notification doesn't disappear
OK, I built and tested network-manager-gnome (nm-applet) with these patches reverted: lp341684_device_sensitive_disconnect_notify.patch lp358526_generic_disconnected_notification_icon.pa tch This prevents the notification from staying on the screen until manually closed. You can also use this command: gconftool-2 -s /apps/nm-applet/disable-disconnected-notifications true --type bool to disable disconnected notifications (or set it to false to re-enable them). I am not really sure why the patches are being included in the current package anyway. They do no seem to be necessary. [Bug 872652] Re: screensaver backlight stuck off, system looks hung
I am experiencing this problem on my Acer Aspire 5740 laptop running Xubuntu without xfce4 or gnome power manager installed.
