This issue related by connectivity to vpn using pptp. I have found this issue about some days ago. It then displayed the release notes, and I pressed the upgrade button on that window, After that the Distribution Upgrade window was displayed, and it finished the Preparing upgrade stage successfully. Then there was a pop-up message that said Third part sources disabled etc. I clicked the Close button on that message. After just a second or so of processing, I got the following error pop-up message: Invalid package information After your package information was updated the essential package 'ubuntu-minimal' can not be found anymore.
